Communications Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to join the Communication Services team at PHO in Toronto. The role supports the implementation and development of PHO’s communications functions, handling day‑to‑day administrative tasks, stakeholder inquiries and the coordination of internal and external content.

Key responsibilities

• Administer internal and external online content, maintain PHO websites and manage records.
• Process client requests for images and copyediting, and schedule social media posts across LinkedIn, Bluesky, X and YouTube.
• Monitor social and traditional media, flag urgent items, and produce daily media clips and summary reports for executives.
• Generate reports on media coverage, social media traffic and usage; support measurement of PHO’s social media strategy.
• Assist with communications‑related meetings, project teams and the development of communications policies and standards.
• Maintain the PHO CRM system through data cleaning, mailing creation, instructional documentation and metric reporting.
• Coordinate production of external newsletters, organising content, timelines and contributors.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
• Strong organisational ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑profile environment.
• Excellent written communication and client‑service skills.
• Familiarity with PHO visual identity guidelines and record‑keeping best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Experience using social media management platforms for content scheduling and performance tracking.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
