Communications Coordinator

About the role

Ornge is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support its mission of connecting communities to critical care across Ontario. This hybrid, 15‑month contract role offers a fast‑paced environment where you will help shape stories, create content and keep communication projects on track.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for public and staff inquiries.
• Produce a variety of communication materials such as backgrounders, newsletters, brochures, presentations, promotional items and publications.
• Support the development and execution of communication plans that advance Ornge’s mission.
• Coordinate content distribution across internal channels (intranet) and external channels (website, social media).
• Collaborate with internal clients and the Communications team to ensure consistent messaging.
• Assist with reporting on communication activities and metrics.
• Travel periodically as required.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional with a strong interest in communications.
• Highly organized, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities.
• Positive attitude, creative mindset and willingness to pitch in.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule (three days on‑site per week) and travel as needed.
