Communications Coordinator

About the role

CASA Mental Health is expanding its services across Alberta and needs a Communications Coordinator to support both internal and external communications. Reporting to the Manager of Communications, you will help showcase CASA’s programs and values while building awareness for the organization’s provincial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support internal and external communications targeting CASA’s key audiences.
• Assist awareness‑raising initiatives as the organization expands beyond Edmonton.
• Advise on digital storytelling, gather patient stories, and collaborate with departments to create compelling content.
• Publish and manage internal and external newsletters, including distribution, content collection, and analytics.
• Maintain and develop content for the employee intranet and public website.
• Monitor shared email inboxes and route inquiries appropriately.
• Provide general communications support such as basic design, layout, writing, editing, and content development.
• Create and update templated products (letterhead, PowerPoint, posters, forms) and related guidelines.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or equivalent experience.
• Experience writing, proofreading and editing web content.
• Experience in mental health, non‑profit, philanthropy or related fields is an asset.
• Ability to pass a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.

Required skills

• WordPress (or similar web‑management platforms such as Elementor or ThoughtFarmer).
• Project‑management tools like Asana.

What we offer

• Hybrid work environment (downtown office and remote).
• Competitive salary range of $62,464 – $93,167 CAD per year.
• Temporary fixed‑term contract until April 30 2027.
