Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

The Commercial Finance Manager leads the implementation and ongoing management of zero‑based budgeting across Labatt’s operations, partnering with multiple departments to align financial plans with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Implement a zero‑based budgeting (ZBB) framework across all departments.
• Monitor budget variances, identify cost‑saving opportunities and prepare financial reports.
• Manage the annual budget cycle and facilitate reviews with department heads.
• Enhance budgeting methods and tools for greater accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance teams and business leaders to align on financial goals and provide ZBB training.
• Maintain compliance with financial controls and governance standards.

Required profile

• Proven financial management experience.
• Hands‑on experience with zero‑based budgeting and financial planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and enterprise financial systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities.
• High ethical standards and respect for confidentiality.
