Co-op Researcher – Embodied AI Agent (Robotics)

About the role

Huawei Canada's Noah’s Ark Laboratory is seeking a co‑op researcher to contribute to an embodied AI project focused on robotic agents. The intern will develop and integrate AI algorithms into internal products while collaborating closely with the research team.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the embodied AI research project and explore novel approaches.
• Implement algorithms for proposed models and applications, and deploy them into internal products.
• Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers on the team.
• Stay up‑to‑date on selected machine‑learning areas and produce insight and technical reports.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in the third year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge of deep‑learning components such as training, regularization and generalization.
• Strong coding skills in Python and experience with PyTorch.
• Experience with large language models is an asset.
• Experience with robotics simulators (e.g., Isaac Sim, ManiSkill, PyBullet) is a strong asset.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be enrolled in a co‑op program and registered for an official co‑op work term for the full duration.
