CNC Machinist – Precision Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC (computer numerical control) machinist to join our manufacturing team in Brampton. You will work with a variety of machine tools to fabricate and assemble custom window covering components, ensuring tight tolerances and high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
• Set up, adjust and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders and cutting machines.
• Measure and verify dimensions of machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges and verniers.
• Fit and assemble components to close tolerance and perform final inspections.
• Cut fabric and insulating materials to specifications using specialized finishing equipment.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling loads up to 23 kg.
• Accurate, detail‑oriented and dependable.
• Strong oral communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• CNC machining and programming.
• Operation of automatic lathes, cylindrical grinders, drill presses, engine lathes, milling machines and saws.
• Use of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and verniers.
• Fabric cutting and finishing equipment operation.
