CNC Machinist – Manufacturing & Fabrication

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Brampton manufacturing team. You will operate both computer‑controlled and conventional machines to produce custom window‑covering components and related fabricated parts.

Key responsibilities

• Compute dimensions and tolerances, measure and lay out work pieces for assembly.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
• Set up, adjust and operate CNC and conventional machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses and milling machines.
• Fit and assemble components to close tolerances and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers and other precision instruments.
• Cut fabric and insulating materials to specifications and operate specialized finishing equipment.

Required profile

• College diploma or equivalent certification with 2‑3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, meet tight deadlines and handle up to 23 kg loads.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable oral communication.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation.
• Automatic lathes, cylindrical grinders, drill presses, engine lathes.
• Form cutting machines, milling machines, saws, screw machines, shapers, surface and tool grinders.
• Hemmer or blindstitcher equipment.
• Use of micrometers, calipers, gauges and verniers.
• WHMIS certification.
