Cloud Developer (Infrastructure)

About the role

The Cloud Infrastructure team builds the foundation that enables product engineering teams to ship with confidence. As a Developer II you will own scoped infrastructure work from design through delivery and operation, collaborating closely with product engineers and fellow cloud engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure using Terraform and OpenTofu following IaC best practices.
• Operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, manage Helm releases, ingress/TLS, cert‑manager, and Gateway API CRDs.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and GitLab deployment automation to increase shipping speed and reduce risk.
• Contribute to the internal developer platform with self‑service templates, golden paths, and tooling.
• Support observability, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Implement security patterns for identity, access control, secrets, private networking, and vulnerability scanning.
• Write and maintain doc‑as‑code runbooks and operational guides for the engineering organization.

Required profile

• Practical experience with compute, networking, storage, identity, and secrets in at least one major cloud provider.
• Hands‑on IaC experience, able to author reusable Terraform modules.
• Comfort building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, services, namespaces, kubectl troubleshooting).
• Solid foundation in observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) and incident response.
• Ability to take ownership of scoped work, communicate trade‑offs clearly, and stay focused under complexity.
