Cloud Architect – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, microservices‑based solutions on AWS. This fully remote contract position offers flexibility in weekly hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy robust microservices applications on AWS, improving performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to translate business needs into detailed technical blueprints.
• Design, build, and maintain containerized infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure solutions meet functional and non‑functional requirements, including security, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor stakeholders on cloud architecture best practices and emerging technologies.
• Document architectural decisions and communicate complex concepts clearly throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and deploying microservices‑based applications.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with core AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
