Clinical Safety Assistant – Remote (Canada)

About the role
TRIO is seeking a Clinical Safety Assistant to support its Drug Safety Unit. Working remotely from anywhere in Canada, you will help manage safety reporting processes and ensure accurate documentation for oncology clinical trials.
Key responsibilities
- Distribute safety reports to reviewers, track receipt confirmations, and maintain filing systems.
- Handle administrative aspects of Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reporting, including reception, tracking, and data entry into the safety database.
- Support investigator site user access to the Safety Distribution System.
- Assist with Third Party Organization oversight to monitor safety reporting activities.
- Set up trial‑specific instructions for Medical Affairs documents and maintain Trial Master File (TMF) filing, including folder structure and naming conventions.
- Maintain the TMF quality‑control schedule, participate in QC activities, and help resolve issues.
- Create and revise Trial Written Instructions as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Medical Affairs team (mailings, filing, roster maintenance, document tracking, meeting minutes).
Required profile
- Minimum diploma in a science‑related field.
- At least two years of experience as an administrative assistant or coordinator.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Experience in a medical or clinical‑trials environment is an asset.
- Medical knowledge is an asset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
