Cleaning Supervisor – Warehouse (Calgary)

About the role

Commercial Cleaning Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a janitorial team at a warehouse facility in Calgary. The role involves overseeing cleaning operations during night and weekend shifts to ensure high‑quality service for the client.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional customer service through regular communication with onsite representatives and prompt resolution of service issues.
• Prepare shift schedules and work assignments in line with contract requirements to guarantee efficient service delivery.
• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing CCS safety policies and procedures.
• Support training of new employees, manage ordering of supplies, tools, and equipment, and oversee a preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify cleaning standards are met and assist with cleaning duties as needed.
• Manage radio communications and perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of leadership experience in the facility services or cleaning industry.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning best practices, sustainable products, tools, and equipment.
• Demonstrated people‑management, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to handle unforeseen demands.
• Ability to pass a police background check and meet physical requirements (lift up to 40 lb, stand/walk throughout shift, bend, stretch, climb stairs).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use technology tools and radio communication equipment.
