Cleaner (Mac Powerhouse)

About the role

The Macdonald Campus of McGill University is seeking an Evening Cleaner to maintain a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for students, staff, and visitors. Working under general supervision, you will be responsible for the upkeep of assigned areas during the evening shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal.
• Ensure all areas are secure and operational at the end of each shift.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Custodial Supervisor.
• Follow established health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Apply the evening‑shift premium procedures as required.

Required profile

• Functional spoken and reading ability in both English and French.
• Functional written ability in either English or French.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Ability to work the scheduled hours (3:00 p.m. – 11:15 p.m., 38.75 hours/week).
