About the role
We are seeking a Class 1 truck driver to operate straight or articulated trucks, delivering goods locally and provincially. The role involves loading, unloading, vehicle inspections, and ensuring cargo safety while representing the company on the road.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload goods safely.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks.
- Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Tarp and secure cargo to maintain safety and security.
- Coach colleagues on new methods and maintain professional customer service.
Required profile
- Valid Class 1 (or A) driver’s licence.
- Clean driving record (abstract).
- Excellent oral communication.
- Team player with patience.
- Prior experience driving trucks is an asset.
Required skills
- Operate straight or articulated trucks.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
