About the role

We are seeking flexible, reliable, and motivated individuals to serve as Relief Children’s Program Mentors for our after‑school programs during the 2025‑2026 school year. The role involves supporting children aged 4‑12 in a safe, inclusive environment across multiple sites in Toronto.

Key responsibilities

Deliver engaging after‑school activities that align with Ontario After‑School Program Guidelines, including physical, arts, education and nutrition‑based programming.
Supervise children at all times, promote positive behaviour, and respond to incidents according to club protocols.
Set up and clean up program spaces, track attendance and complete basic documentation.
Collaborate with site coordinators, volunteers and fellow relief staff, adapting quickly to different locations.

Required profile

Relevant education (ECE, CYC, SSW, Recreation, Education or related field preferred).
Experience working with children aged 4‑12 in a structured setting.
Current Standard First Aid & CPR‑C certification.
Police reference check required upon hiring.
