Child Caregiver – Private Home

About the role

This position provides full‑time, on‑site child care in a private Calgary home. The caregiver will support a multi‑aged group of school‑age children (6‑12 years) while the parents are away, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well‑organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence.
• Discipline children according to the parents’ preferred methods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for each child.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Supervise children’s emotional well‑being and overall safety.
• Keep the home clean, safe, and healthy.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant child‑care experience.
• Client‑focused, flexible, initiative‑taking, organized and reliable.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and exercise good judgement.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
