Child Care Provider – Private Home

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Provider to join a family in their Vancouver home. The role involves full responsibility for the children’s well‑being and household tasks while the parents are away, including occasional travel with the family.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence.
• Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and ironing duties.
• Travel with the family and assist with child supervision and housekeeping on trips.
• Discipline children according to parents’ guidelines and teach personal hygiene and social skills.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for the children.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and manage rest periods.
• Supervise children’s transportation to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
• Support the emotional well‑being of the children and ensure a safe, healthy home environment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant child‑care experience.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Reference required.
• Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lb) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexible, reliable, and honest with strong time‑management skills.
