Chief Executive Officer – Real Property Association

About the role

REALPAC, the national voice of Canada’s commercial real‑estate sector, is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the association through its next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and overseeing a high‑performing team of nine, the CEO will act as the primary ambassador for the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute REALPAC’s strategic plan, aligning it with member needs and industry trends.
• Represent the association with federal, provincial and municipal governments, shaping public policy that impacts commercial real estate.
• Drive member engagement, partnership development, and advocacy initiatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, financial stewardship, and organizational performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with a complex network of stakeholders, including senior executives, policymakers and media.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level executive experience in commercial real estate, association management, public policy, government relations, law or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a lean, dynamic environment and translate strategy into actionable results.
• Exceptional communication, consensus‑building and values‑based leadership skills.
• High emotional intelligence, integrity and a collaborative, relationship‑driven approach.
