Cement Finisher – Skilled Construction Worker

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finisher to work on residential construction sites in Bolton, Ontario. The role involves placing, finishing, and curing concrete surfaces while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials before concrete placement.
• Directly place concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade and specifications.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface.
• Impart the desired finish using hand and power tools and apply hardening and sealing components.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Required profile

• Accurate and detail‑oriented with strong attention to safety.
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads, working at heights, and standing for extended periods.
• Team player who is dependable and flexible.

Required skills

• Operation of power vibrators for concrete compaction.
• Use of hand and power tools for concrete finishing.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps and specifications.
