Casual SAFER & Workforce Systems Navigator

About the role

The Casual SAFER & Workforce Systems Navigator will support the SAFER clinic and the Workforce program by coordinating care, conducting assessments, and helping participants navigate health and social services. Working under the SAFER Program Manager, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide harm‑reduction‑focused case management and outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake, assessments, care planning and light case management for program participants.
• Provide outreach support, including accompaniment to appointments, home visits, and advocacy.
• Distribute safer‑use supplies, naloxone kits and educate on overdose prevention.
• Assist participants with administrative and financial requirements for accessing prescribed alternatives.
• Maintain confidential records and contribute to program evaluation, reporting and development.
• Respond to overdoses and other medical emergencies as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in health, social services, counselling, social work, psychology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of direct social‑service delivery, preferably in harm‑reduction or safe‑supply programs.
• Demonstrated commitment to social‑justice, anti‑racism, trauma‑informed and decolonizing practice.
• Experience navigating provincial income, housing, healthcare and legal systems.
• First Aid certification and experience administering naloxone.
