Casual Medical Radiation Technologist – Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

We are seeking a casual Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at North Wellington Health Care. The home site for this role is Palmerston and District Hospital, with occasional cross‑site work at Louise Marshall Hospital. You will deliver high‑quality imaging services while supporting student placements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic imaging services with accuracy and professionalism.
• Mentor and supervise students on health‑care placements.
• Adhere to WHCA’s core values and the Wellington Health Care Alliance mission.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Perform other duties as required by the department.

Required profile

• Current CMRITO designation.
• Active membership with CAMRT; OAMRT is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage conflicting demands, and meet physical job requirements.
• Successful completion of reference checks, Police Vulnerable Sector Check, and pre‑employment health assessment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating medical radiation equipment.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging protocols and safety standards.
