Carpenter – Permanent Full‑time Position in Edmonton

About the role

We are looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team in Edmonton. The role involves constructing, installing, and maintaining wooden structures across various sites, ensuring compliance with building codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in accordance with building codes.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel to build foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, and perform maintenance, repair and renovation of residential and industrial structures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school) certificate.
• 3 to less than 5 years of carpentry experience.
• Availability for shift or on‑call work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and days as required.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and layout preparation.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and cutting equipment.
• Ability to assemble and join wood and lightweight steel components.
• Installation of windows, doors, stairs and mouldings.
