Carpenter

About the role

Grayline Construction Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled carpenter to join its Calgary team. You will work on a variety of construction projects, including residential, institutional, and industrial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts that comply with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of carpentry experience.
• Certificates: PPE training, Working at Heights, WHMIS, Fall Arrest Protection, CSTS, Confined Space Entry.
• Criminal record check, valid driver’s licence and own transportation.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, noisy, dusty, outdoor and cold environments.
• Physical capability to bend, crouch, kneel, handle heavy loads and meet tight deadlines.
