Carpenter

About the role

Kiwang Construction Ltd. is looking for a qualified carpenter to work on a variety of construction projects in Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, installing, and maintaining wooden structures across residential, industrial, and institutional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare labour and material cost estimates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate on‑site work, supervising other workers as needed.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to work on‑road, on‑site locations.
