Carpenter – Construction & Renovation

About the role

Agile contracting Services Inc is seeking a skilled carpenter to join its construction teams in North York. The role involves working on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial and renovation sites, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and adherence to building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layout plans that comply with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Prepare tenders and quotations for projects.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on multiple sites and supervise apprentices.
• Survey building locations, estimate costs and materials, and maintain/repair structures.

Required profile

• Accurate, reliable and punctual with good judgement.
• Team player able to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel and handle heavy loads.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with measuring tools.
• Experience using CADD and other computer software systems for drafting.
