Carpenter – Construction & Renovation

About the role

MacKenzie Builder Services Ltd. is seeking a full‑time carpenter for its Souris West, PE operations. The role involves working on construction and renovation projects across commercial and residential sites, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, assembling and installing structural components.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment, and ensure compliance with site safety standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2–3 years experience in maintenance and repair carpentry.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, noisy and dusty environments.
• Own reliable vehicle, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Bondable and able to pass a criminal record check.
• Physically capable of bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads and meeting tight deadlines.
