Cargo Officer

About the role

Emirates SkyCargo is seeking a Cargo Officer to oversee day‑to‑day cargo operations at its Toronto hub. You will ensure efficient handling, compliance with regulations, and high‑quality service for both existing and potential customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate operational activities to maximise efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor GHA service delivery, address shortcomings and implement process improvements.
• Resolve delays, disruptions, cargo mishandling and transfer issues.
• Review, collate and compile cargo documentation in line with local regulations and company policies.
• Maintain cargo systems, produce reports and handle post‑flight activities.

Required profile

• Educated to A‑Level with at least 5 years’ cargo operations experience (including 3 years as a Senior Cargo Agent) OR a degree with at least 2 years’ experience (including 1 year as a Senior Cargo Agent).
• Proven team‑leading experience and completion of supervisory training.

Required skills

• Dangerous Goods (DG) certification and knowledge of DG regulations.
• Advanced Load Control, Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal Regulations.
• PC‑based skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
