Cardiologist – Clinical Medicine Specialist

About the role
The role involves providing comprehensive cardiac care within a diagnostic centre, diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart conditions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary health team.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders, determine type and severity, and prescribe appropriate medication and treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays, cardiac stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring to guide patient care.
- Act as a consultant to other physicians, advise patients on health care, and provide lifestyle awareness information.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings and maintain accurate medical records.
Required profile
- Degree in medicine with licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification and specialization in Cardiology.
- Expertise in echocardiography and Holter monitoring/scanning.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to work as a team player.
- Relevant clinical experience is an asset.
