CAMHS Nurse Therapist – Core East Team

About the role

The Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is seeking a qualified CAMHS Nurse Therapist to join its Core East and West Teams. This permanent position involves delivering community‑based assessments and therapeutic nursing interventions for children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an individual caseload of children, young people, families, and groups.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments in community and hospital settings.
• Design and deliver therapeutic interventions on an individual, family, and group basis.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, high‑quality care.
• Participate in the NES CAMHS development programme and undertake bespoke training as required.

Required profile

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with eligibility to practice in the UK.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to work autonomously across hospital and community environments.
• Willingness to travel across Fife and wider regions as needed.
• Passion for improving children’s mental health outcomes.

Required skills

• Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
