About the role
Owner is looking to hire an accomplished Business Development Manager to join its growing revenue team. The role is ideal for candidates passionate about helping small businesses succeed, with a proven record in sales and leadership. It requires five days a week on‑site at the Toronto office.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead a world‑class team of sales and business development representatives.
- Become an expert in Owner’s product and industry to coach reps in high‑trust advisory conversations with restaurant owners.
- Co‑sell with the team, providing hands‑on guidance and visibility into the sales process.
- Coach and develop each rep based on their unique strengths, fostering continuous improvement.
- Identify business opportunities and execute projects to enhance the sales system.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with other teams to drive revenue growth.
Required profile
- Direct first‑line management experience in the software industry, preferably SMB.
- Strong references and a track record of personal and professional excellence.
- Lifelong learner mindset with commitment to professional growth.
- Consultative, customer‑first sales approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with restaurants is a significant plus.
What we offer
- Yearly total cash compensation of $230,000 CAD OTE (base $165k + $65k variable) with uncapped commission.
