About the role
The Bus and Transport Mechanic will work in a garage environment maintaining and repairing commercial transport trucks and bus systems. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing scheduled maintenance and ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck, automotive and truck‑trailer systems.
- Inspect, test and road‑test mechanical units and motors to locate faults and verify operation.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services and estimate parts and labour costs.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications and record work performed.
- Complete detailed reports documenting problems and corrective actions.
Required profile
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in a dirty garage environment and follow safety procedures.
