Building Caretaker

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Building Caretaker to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our commercial shopping centre in Québec. The role involves daily upkeep of interior and exterior areas, ensuring a pleasant environment for visitors and tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and heavy waste.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Supervise other workers as needed.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and gardens.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas using snowblowers.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 1 – 7 months of experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, crouching and kneeling.
• Dependable, organized and good oral and written communication.

• Power‑tool usage.
• Upholstery cleaning equipment operation.
• Snowblower operation.
