Bridge Gang Worker – Construction

About the role

This position is part of a bridge construction crew that works on a variety of outdoor sites across Canada. The role involves handling materials, assembling and dismantling temporary structures, and supporting the overall progress of bridge projects.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials to and from the work site.
• Perform pre‑operational inspections of equipment and tools.
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements and layout.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt; pave and rake asphalt surfaces.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials, perform routine maintenance, and clean up chemical spills.
• Remove rubble and debris, and direct traffic around construction zones.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in construction or related manual labour.
• Dependable, hardworking team player with a strong safety mindset.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work outdoors at heights.
