Book Marketing & Communications Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual storyteller who will champion the voices of Holocaust survivors through the Azrieli Foundation’s Memoirs Program. Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will create bilingual content that promotes books, educational resources, events and related initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of the memoir catalogue, read titles and identify compelling themes for promotion.
• Create bilingual promotional materials, book club guides, newsletters, website copy and social media content.
• Coordinate outreach to bookstores, literary festivals, libraries, museums and community organisations.
• Support launch campaigns for new titles and priority back‑list titles, including French‑language distribution.
• Produce event collateral such as flyers, posters, graphics and presentation slides, and assist with travel for conferences and launches.
• Manage social‑media publishing, community engagement and analytics across platforms, responding to comments and escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Publishing or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in communications, marketing or publishing.
• Fully bilingual in English and French with exceptional written skills in both languages.
• Strong storytelling ability and a genuine passion for books, education and Holocaust history.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canva for graphic creation.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with Sprout Social or similar social‑media management tools.
