Bilingual Sr Auto Claims Specialist

About the role

Zurich Canada is seeking a bilingual senior professional to manage and resolve intermediate to complex commercial auto claims while delivering outstanding customer service and supporting effective cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Document claims files and capture data for commercial auto claims.
• Conduct coverage analysis, liability assessment and damage evaluation.
• Manage claims reserves and ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
• Lead negotiations and settlements with insureds, brokers, claimants and legal counsel.
• Provide oversight to legal counsel, independent adjusters and other service providers.
• Mentor junior claim handlers and share best practices.
• Collaborate with underwriting, risk engineering and internal stakeholders.
• Identify trends, fraud indicators and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years in claims or insurance.
• Must hold and maintain required adjuster licence(s) and commercial auto licence (AMF).
• Fluency in spoken and written English and French.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products.
• Experience with commercial auto claims handling.
