Bilingual IT Help Desk Technician

About the role

Newforma is looking for a bilingual (English/French) IT Help Desk Technician to deliver first‑ and second‑level support for hardware and software across the organization. You will use the corporate Service Desk platform to log, track, and resolve tickets while ensuring clear documentation of all issues and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to end‑users for computers, hardware, and software.
• Deploy, monitor, upgrade, and support global IT systems including servers, PCs, Macs, printers, operating systems, and applications.
• Troubleshoot and maintain user‑facing hardware such as laptops, desktops, iPads, and printers.
• Create, update, and resolve tickets, isolating problems and implementing solutions or escalations.
• Prioritize work to meet response and resolution targets.
• Follow defined policies and escalation procedures.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, hardware, software, and supplies.
• Consult technical documentation and other support resources as needed.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Bilingual in English and French, both written and verbal.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with a wide range of users.
• Proven experience supporting end‑users and resolving technical issues.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team while handling multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows on‑prem server environments.
• Microsoft 365 cloud services (Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Power Platform, SharePoint, Conditional Access).
• Working knowledge of VPN technologies.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter.
