Barista

About the role

Join Figaro Coffee House as a Barista in Ottawa, delivering friendly service and maintaining a clean, efficient coffee shop environment. You will work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, to ensure customers enjoy a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, work surfaces, carts, and waste disposal units.
• Clear and clean tables, trays, chairs and load buspans.
• Operate dishwashers, store cleaned items, and replenish condiments.
• Keep records of food quantities, package take‑out orders, and portion/wrap foods.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items.
• Serve customers at counters, take orders and handle payments.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, remove garbage, and wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
• Food Safety Certificate.
• Availability for early morning, evening, flexible, day and weekend shifts.
• Ability to handle gratuities and provide excellent customer service.
