Banking Advisor

About the role

As a Banking Advisor at National Bank of Canada, you will develop expertise through evolving responsibilities and build trusted relationships with branch clients. You will collaborate daily with specialists in investments, mortgages and insurance, gaining broad financial knowledge while delivering personalized service.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to client needs, ask appropriate questions and handle a variety of situations, including complex cases.
• Advise individuals and small businesses on transactions, personal financing, investments, insurance coverage and basic estate planning.
• Support clients through mortgage renewal or renegotiation processes.
• Refer clients to specialists (investments, mortgage, insurance) to ensure optimal service.
• Follow compliance, security and risk‑management rules in all activities.

Required profile

• College diploma (DEC) or equivalent.
• Advisory service experience with an inclusive attitude and openness to diversity.
• Ability to obtain a mutual fund licence (MFR) for higher‑level roles.
