About the role
Vicinity Mart is seeking a proactive Bakery Manager to lead the daily operations of its retail bakery department in North Vancouver. You will ensure smooth service, high product quality, and a positive customer experience in a fast‑paced supermarket environment.
Key responsibilities
- Direct, control, evaluate, plan and organize daily bakery operations.
- Manage and schedule staff, assign duties, and conduct performance reviews.
- Determine merchandise assortment, services offered, and staffing requirements.
- Maintain product quality, safety standards, and inventory accuracy.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience in bakery or retail food operations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and overtime.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with a mix of sitting, standing and walking.
