Backend Software Developer

About the role

Hexoskin is seeking a Backend Software Developer to join its R&D team and own the development and maintenance of the Hexoskin server API. You will work closely with web, biomedical and application teams to deliver innovative health‑tech solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain new features for the Django‑based RESTful API and related micro‑services.
• Produce design documentation, detailed plans and effort estimates.
• Investigate and resolve issues, errors and inconsistencies in production.
• Test, evaluate and update software applications to meet client needs.
• Support third‑party developers integrating with the API.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for version control and bug tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and adapt quickly to new challenges.
