Backend Engineer – Build AI Workspace Intelligence Engine

About the role

Jeda.ai is building an AI Workspace that organizes, tests and visualises AI outputs for real‑world decision making. As a Backend Engineer you will create the core engine that powers multi‑model orchestration, asynchronous workflows and real‑time collaboration. The role is open to both senior and junior engineers who thrive in fast‑moving, cloud‑native environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and scale backend services that orchestrate AI models and manage async workflows.
• Develop event‑driven, cloud‑native architectures on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Create APIs for real‑time and asynchronous interactions.
• Integrate distributed processing and messaging systems such as SQS and SNS.
• Improve performance, reliability and fault tolerance of critical services.
• Own systems from concept through production, prototyping rapidly with “vibe coding”.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and high ownership.
• For senior roles: proven experience building scalable distributed systems.
• For junior roles: fast learner comfortable with new technologies.
• Collaborative, proactive mindset and willingness to experiment.

Required skills

• Node.js and/or Python programming.
• JavaScript (for Node.js) fluency.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with messaging services such as SQS and SNS.
• Design of event‑driven, cloud‑native architectures.
