Backend Developer

About the role
We are looking for a Backend Developer to build the data and server infrastructure for our open‑source educational platform. You will help bring the Curiosity Clubs ecosystem to life, enabling learners and guides to collaborate online.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Frontend Developer to define data requirements and response formats.
- Design, implement and secure API endpoints for the platform.
- Deploy and maintain the backend on a cost‑effective VPS or AWS environment.
- Ensure scalability and reliability of the server architecture.
Required profile
- Motivated to contribute to a mission‑driven education project.
- Available to dedicate at least 5 hours per week.
- Curious and eager to learn new technologies.
Required skills
- Supabase
- Node.js
- AWS (or comparable cloud services)
- VPS hosting management
