Back of House Manager

About the role

The Back of House Manager leads all activities within the store’s stockroom, ensuring smooth inbound deliveries, accurate inventory, and efficient e‑commerce order fulfillment. Reporting to the Store Manager and collaborating with the JD Canada BOH Manager, this role is a key part of the store leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the stockroom, maintaining labeling, logical placement, cleanliness, and order.
• Manage daily e‑commerce fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping customer orders.
• Communicate regularly with customer service, support office leaders, and other stores via Slack, email, or other channels.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies to reduce shrinkage and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Monitor and replenish store supplies to support daily and weekly operations.
• Lead by example, fostering an inclusive and positive work environment.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Stay informed on product knowledge, trends, and upcoming releases.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in stockroom or distribution centre operations.
• At least 2 years experience managing people.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• High sense of urgency, detail‑oriented and task‑focused.
• Ability to make quick decisions and adapt to changing business needs.
