AWS Solutions Architect – Migration and Modernization

About the role

Cloudelligent, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, is seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to lead migration and modernization initiatives. This fully remote, full‑time position combines presales engagement with hands‑on technical delivery, focusing on secure, compliant, and scalable AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales teams to capture customer requirements, design solutions, and contribute to proposals and statements of work.
• Architect, build, and operate multi‑account AWS environments using Control Tower, Organizations, Landing Zones, IAM, and Service Control Policies.
• Own end‑to‑end cloud migration projects from discovery through post‑migration optimization.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK to automate provisioning and governance.
• Design and deploy containerized platforms with Docker, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for repeatable cloud deployments.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions aligned with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework.
• Conduct Well‑Architected Framework Reviews and lead remediation efforts.
• Advise customers on governance, compliance, security best practices, and cost‑optimization using FinOps principles.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions in customer‑facing roles.
• Proven track record leading complex cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.
