Avionics Mechanic

About the role

The Avionics Mechanic will join Compass Avionics Inc. in Yellowknife to maintain and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems. You will ensure all work complies with Transport Canada regulations and company safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, test and troubleshoot electrical, avionics, communications, navigation and autoflight equipment.
• Install, repair, overhaul and calibrate aircraft instruments and electrical systems.
• Modify and certify aircraft systems to meet Transport Canada performance and safety requirements.
• Document all maintenance actions and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Collaborate with pilots and engineers to resolve system issues quickly.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
• Avionics Mechanic Trade Certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in aircraft avionics maintenance.

Required skills

• Electrical systems inspection and testing.
• Avionics systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Aircraft instrument overhaul and calibration.
