Auditor - Billing and Payroll

About the role

Join Canada Cartage’s Finance team as a Billing & Payroll Auditor. You will analyse driver trip data to ensure that customer billing and employee payroll are accurate, compliant and error‑free. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while collaborating with Billing, Operations and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Audit unprofitable driver trips to verify billing and driver pay accuracy.
• Communicate findings to Billing and Operations, follow up on corrections and escalate when needed.
• Identify systemic issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of trips analysed, communication logs and investigation outcomes.
• Assist in creating the audit schedule and determine timing.
• Prepare weekly reports of audit findings for management.

Required profile

• College diploma or trade apprenticeship certification.
• 3‑4 years of experience in a similar audit or finance role (logistics experience preferred).
• Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel
• A1 (or PC Miler) software experience
