Audit Manager (Public Sector)

About the role

Join KPMG’s Audit & Assurance practice as an Audit Manager supporting public‑sector clients in Canada. You will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring high‑quality work that builds trust and transparency for both public and private organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage full‑cycle audits for public‑sector clients, from planning to final reporting.
• Contribute to the implementation of the group’s business plan and assurance financial targets.
• Collaborate with practice‑management teams to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff, fostering professional development.
• Apply KPMG’s audit and accounting methodologies consistently across engagements.

Required profile

• Relevant post‑secondary degree; CPA designation or international equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of audit experience within an accounting firm, including work with publicly listed clients.
• Strong client‑service orientation and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex audit matters.
• Proficiency in English.
