Audio Engineer Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The Audio Engineer Adjunct Instructor will join the campus teaching team to deliver audio engineering courses and workshops. Reporting to the Campus Director and the Senior Educational Administrator, the instructor will ensure high‑quality learning experiences that align with institutional outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum based on the SAE model, creating an engaging classroom environment.
• Plan, prepare and update instructional materials, ensuring alignment with course competencies.
• Maintain and update course content on the Canvas Learning Management System.
• Manage class logistics: punctuality, attendance recording, grading assignments within set timeframes.
• Provide academic advising, participate in curriculum committees, and support campus events such as orientation and graduation.
• Identify and support at‑risk students through timely communication with academic staff.
• Uphold institutional policies, provincial regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree plus at least two years of relevant work experience, OR ten years of professional experience in a related audio‑engineering occupation.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, assess and support students in a post‑secondary setting.
• Commitment to continuous instructional improvement and professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canvas LMS for content management and student communication.
• Strong background in audio engineering and related technical practices.
