Associate Student Recruiter Advisor

About the role

The Associate Student Recruiter Advisor supports UBC’s strategic recruitment and advising programmes for secondary and post‑secondary students, parents and counsellors across Canada. Based on the Vancouver campus, the role helps prospective students understand admission criteria and program requirements for undergraduate studies.

Key responsibilities

• Represent UBC to high‑school students, parents and counsellors through school visits and outreach events.
• Provide accurate advice on admission standards, program prerequisites and application processes.
• Collaborate with recruitment, marketing, admissions and campus partners to ensure a seamless student transition.
• Promote Indigenous rights, reconciliation and the inclusion of historically underserved groups.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UBC programmes and admission policies.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in higher education.
• Experience or interest in student recruitment and advising.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple campus units.
