About the role
The Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) is seeking an Associate to join the Health Match BC Nursing Bursaries team. This internal‑only position supports the bursary process for registered nurses applying to work in BC, offering a hybrid work model.
Key responsibilities
- Process candidate information and applications for the nursing bursary program.
- Screen documentation to verify eligibility criteria.
- Conduct consultation calls with applicants and prepare required bursary paperwork.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely processing of bursary payments.
- Provide client service by responding to queries via email and phone, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Assist Administrative Assistants with workload prioritisation and applicant inquiries.
Required profile
- Successful completion of a human resources diploma or a relevant degree.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a role involving recruitment practices or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
