Associate Lawyer - Litigation

About the role

McKercher LLP is seeking an Associate Lawyer specialized in litigation to join its Regina office. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, handling a variety of civil and commercial disputes while developing deep expertise under the firm’s client‑first philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and conduct litigation matters from inception through resolution, including case strategy and courtroom representation.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents.
• Collaborate with senior litigators and other practice groups to ensure cohesive case handling.
• Maintain strong client relationships, providing clear updates and strategic advice.
• Assist in business development initiatives and contribute to firm marketing efforts.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in general litigation.
• Excellent research, analytical, and drafting abilities.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism, leadership, and teamwork competencies.
• Strong relationship management, project management, and business development capabilities.
